Our story

A North Georgia trade contractor since 1999

Darrin Straub started Advanced Stucco Repair in 1999 with a view that still runs the company: a damaged facade is almost always a water problem, and it should be repaired by people who understand the whole wall. Since then Forsyth County has filled in around GA 400 with offices, shopping centers and apartment communities, and many of those buildings are now old enough to need the work we do.

We are a specialist, not a general contractor. Stucco, EIFS and the details around them are our trade: moisture surveys and water testing, sheathing and substrate replacement, sealant and expansion joints, flashing at windows and roof lines, hard coat and EIFS repair and installation, foam trim, and color and texture matching. Because one company handles the wall from the framing out, there is no gap between the trade that diagnoses a leak and the trade that fixes it.

Our clients in and around Cumming are the people responsible for buildings: property managers, asset managers, condominium boards, owners and general contractors. We give them written scopes they can take to ownership, a schedule that respects tenants and residents, and a finished wall that stays dry.

The ASR standard

What you can expect on every building

From a single leaking storefront to a full condominium recoat, the same six commitments apply.

Diagnose before we cut

Moisture readings at windows, joints and parapets, plus water testing where the leak path is unclear, so the scope matches the real damage.

Readings, not guesswork

Fix the water path

We correct the failed sealant, flashing or termination that let water in, so the same elevation does not need the same repair again.

Cause closed, not covered

Scopes boards can approve

Photos, readings and an itemized scope by elevation that separates urgent water intrusion from cosmetic work, with phasing options for budgets and reserves.

Written and itemized

Work around occupants

Phased elevations, open entrances and noisy work scheduled around tenants, residents and business hours.

Occupied-building planning

Build it in the right layers

Sheathing, weather barrier, flashing, lath, base and finish installed and lapped in order, with proper cure time between coats.

Correct from the studs out

Match the facade

Custom pigment and aggregate blends, sample areas for approval, and recoats corner to corner where a patch would show.

Color & texture matched
How we work

From site walk to finished facade

Every commercial project follows the same three steps, so managers, boards and owners know what is happening and why.

Site walk & survey

We walk the elevations with you, review leak reports and past repairs, and take moisture readings at the details that fail first.

  • Leak reports reviewed
  • Readings by elevation
  • Photo documentation

Written scope & quote

You receive an itemized scope by elevation, with repair and recoat options and a phasing plan that fits budgets, reserves and approvals.

  • Itemized by elevation
  • Urgent vs. cosmetic
  • Phasing options

Phased repair & finish

Crews work elevation by elevation, replace wet substrate, correct flashing and sealants, and finish with a matched color and texture.

  • Access & safety planned
  • Daily cleanup
  • Matched finish
Reviews

In our clients’ words

Long-term clients on what it is like to work with Advanced Stucco Repair on stucco repair and water intrusion work.

★★★★★
“We had a section of our wall that was crumbling, and I was worried the repairs would stand out. Not only did they fix the issue, but they matched the color and texture so perfectly that I honestly can’t tell where the damage was.”

Why Cumming

Close to Cumming, familiar with Forsyth County

From our base in Canton, Cumming and the rest of Forsyth County are part of our regular North Georgia service area.

Working nearby means we can get to a Cumming property for a site walk, a leak investigation or a phased project without treating it as a long-distance job. It also means we know how the area has built: EIFS-heavy retail and office from the earlier growth along GA 400, a newer generation of mixed-use downtown, and multifamily communities spreading across the county. We know whether a property is likely in the city or the county and plan the paperwork accordingly.

Since 1999

More than twenty-five years repairing and installing stucco and EIFS in Georgia.

One trade for the wall

Survey, substrate, flashing, sealants, cladding and finish handled by the same company.

What Cumming property managers, boards and contractors ask about working with us.

How long has Advanced Stucco Repair been in business?
Since 1999. Darrin Straub founded the company and remains its President.
Where are you located, and do you serve Cumming regularly?
We are based in Canton, Georgia, and Cumming and Forsyth County are part of our regular North Georgia service area. We do not have an office in Cumming.
What kinds of properties do you work on in Cumming?
Office and medical buildings, shopping centers and retail, condominium associations, apartment communities, restaurants and new construction for general contractors and developers.
Do you work in the City of Cumming and unincorporated Forsyth County?
Yes, both. Where permits apply, requirements depend on the jurisdiction and scope, so owners should check with the city or the county building department; we help describe the work.

Yes. Our written scopes are organized by elevation and priority so they can be presented to boards and ownership, and we can attend a meeting to walk through findings.
